One of the most prominent leaders in the international jewellery industry today, Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri has served for more than 20 years as president of CIBJO, The World Jewellery Confederation. Uniting national jewellery and gemstone associations from more than 40 countries, and including many of the industry’s major corporations and international associations, CIBJO is the industry’s oldest international organization, having been established in 1926. It covers the entire jewellery, gemstone and precious metals sectors from mine to marketplace, within each of the component sectors in the various production, manufacturing and trading centres.
In addition to being president of CIBJO, Dr. Cavalieri has served as president of the Italian Federation of Gold, Silver and Jewellery Wholesalers, has been a member of the International Executive Council of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a member of the Goldsmiths’ Company of London, a member of the European Assay Association, a member of the International Coloured Gemstone Association (ICA), and chief financial officer of the World Diamond Council.

For the last two years, Moritz has channelled his extensive publishing expertise into fashion e-commerce as Director of Product Design at Zalando, Europe's premier fashion destination. Since joining, he has scaled up a new editorial practice and recently launched 'Stories on Zalando,' a groundbreaking platform that fuses cultural storytelling with e-commerce, driving both inspiration and engagement. Molefi is the chairman of Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa, which is a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, co-founder and president of the South African Young Diamond Beneficiators Guild, Founder and Director of Molefi Letsiki Diamonds which is De Beers Diamond Beneficiation project member, a client of the South African State Diamond Trader, Petra Diamonds and Forevermark Diamantre.
Molefi Letsiki Loves diamonds. He is a second-generation diamantaire with a wealth of experience in cutting and polishing. His relationship with diamonds was hostile in the beginning, the irony of being an African child whose father worked as a diamond polisher. His father would always talk about diamonds and yet Molefi had never seen one in his life.
Helen's career has spanned the global gem and jewellery industry, from roles with leading auction and jewellery houses to academic posts. For ten years she was a jewellery specialist for Sotheby's and Christie's in London and Geneva, where she handled sales of global importance including the private jewellery collection of HRH The Princess Margaret in 2006. As a gemmologist and jewellery historian, she has since held roles as Professeur d'Histoire du Bijou at the Geneva University of Art and Design, Managing Director at the House of Gübelin, and most recently as the Senior Jewellery Curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum. In 2024, he book “Precious” will be published by Penguin.
